The Stellar II Hybrid Bariatric Mattress System is a Hybrid Foam in Cell (FiC) mattress replacement system. The system combines high specification foam technology integrated inside dynamic alternating air cells. This provide pressure redistribution promoting immersion and envelopment of the patient into the surface to optimise patient comfort.
The system is designed to offer optimal support for the plus size patient. The system can accommodate patients assessed to be up to very high risk of developing pressure injuries or have existing tissue damage up to category IV with a patient weight limit of up to 380kg.
Ensuring a plus-size patient has the right support surface is key to offering the best possible care. The Core II Hybrid Bariatric System is designed to offer optimal support for patients up to a weight of 380kg.
The system is a dynamic alternating mattress replacement system combining high specification foam technology integrated inside dynamic alternating air cells. This provide pressure redistribution promoting immersion and envelopment of the patient into the surface and optimise patient comfort.
Intelligent Pressure Management (IPM) Technology monitors, detects and automatically responds to changes in patient weight, position and posture minimising high peak pressures under vulnerable areas of the patient’s skin. IPM technology saves power during cycling times - reducing stock and maintenance costs.

Antimicrobial, waterproof, multi-stretch cover and base sheet are easy to clean, feature welded seams and handles, easy grip straps, cable management conduits and 360° zip for easy removal of top cover.
The System can be used in two modes, static mode without the need for a power unit providing protection to patients at risk of developing an ulcer/pressure injury or in dynamic alternating mode by simply adding the power unit when a higher level of treatment is required. Both modes provide pressure redistribution minimising high peak pressures under vulnerable areas of the patients skin.
The system is designed for ease of use with easy setup, minimising potential user error and time required for training.
Both the mattress and the pump are modular in design, so components can be easily replaced at low cost with minimum downtime. This helps increase the product lifespan and reduces environmental impact.
